Israel Museum

The Israel Museum of art and archaeology, designed by architects Mansfeld and Gad, was opened in 1965. On display are the most important archaeological finds made in Israel, including the Dead Sea Scrolls, which are housed in the Shrine of the Book. There are also exhibitions of ethnography, Jewish art objects, the cultures of neighboring lands, and local and international art.
